Long Nut / Extension Nut – An elongated internally threaded fastener designed to join two externally threaded components (threaded rods, bolts, or pipes) end-to-end. Features a hexagonal exterior for wrench tightening. Length is approximately three times the nominal thread diameter (~3d). Available in carbon steel (Grades 4.8, 5.8, 6.8, 8.8, 10.9, 12.9) and stainless steel (SS304 A2-70/A2-80, SS316 A4-70/A4-80) with zinc plated, hot-dip galvanized, black oxide, or plain finishes. Widely used in construction scaffolding, solar mounting systems, machinery manufacturing, plumbing pipe connections, automotive assemblies, and industrial equipment.
