What is a Hex Flange Bolt? 

A hex flange bolt is a specialized fastener featuring a hexagonal head and an integrated circular flange beneath the head. The flange acts as a built-in washer, distributing clamping force over a larger bearing surface and eliminating the need for a separate washer in most applications. Serrations on the underside of the flange (optional) provide a mechanical locking effect against vibration-induced loosening.
